Principal’s Message

What an exciting time to be a Crestview Cardinal! Our renovation is complete and we have settled into our beautiful new spaces.

We are planning an “Out of this World” year for 2019-20!  We are connecting to the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11th moon landing when the world was focused on the marvels of technology and engineering. We hope to bring that energy to Crestview this year as we work to prepare our students for a future we can only imagine– one filled with the power of creative problem solving and collaboration!

If you are new to us, you will soon discover that we have the most amazing students, staff, and families! I am so inspired by the efforts our Cardinals have begun under the Leader in Me process to build student leadership qualities using Dr. Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. In my years of experience with the Leader in Me, I have seen firsthand the positive impact this process has on student growth and achievement! Crestview joins a global Leader in Me community of over 3,000 schools, including 5 Henrico elementary schools. This marks Crestview’s 7th year as a Leader in Me school!

Crestview staff members are eager to work with your families to create a safe, nurturing school environment where students are excited to learn and grow. And, a big thank you goes to our tremendous PTA for their efforts to support us in so many ways! I encourage all families to join the PTA and consider ways to support their meaningful work at Crestview.

Please contact me with any concerns, observations, or suggestions you have. I value and respect your perspective, as you know your child better than anyone. Know that I am here to work with you to make sure your child is happy and progressing. I encourage you to check this site frequently as we will keep it updated with all the latest happenings at Crestview.

Your partner in education,

Jennifer Drake
