Our Back to School Bash will be held on Thursday, August 20. This is a great time to meet your teacher, drop off supplies, and learn about your class! Please read below for the following details:


PreK and Kindergarten families: 3:00 p.m. — Meet in the cafeteria

1st–5th Grade: Choose one session and arrive to classrooms on time (presentations begin promptly; late arrivals will be asked to wait for the next session):
Session 1: 4:15 p.m.
Session 2: 5:00 p.m. (repeat of session 1)

Food Trucks: Available near the front of the school from 4:00–6:00 p.m.

Families can expect to receive a mailer in the second week of August containing classroom teacher assignments and additional back-to-school information.

We cannot wait to see everyone at our Back-to-School Bash on Thursday, August 20. The schedule for this event is outlined below. We ask that you please adhere to the session times, as this is not a roving event. Families will meet the teacher, drop off supplies, and learn important information about their child's class and the school year's learning expectations.

It’s not too early to mark the start of the next school year on your calendar. For the upcoming school year, Henrico County Public Schools will implement a staggered start schedule for all incoming preschool and kindergarten students. The following schedule is for Crestview Elementary School:

Monday, August 24
• Preschool and Kindergarten students with last names A-L will attend school.
• Preschool and Kindergarten students with last names M-Z will remain home.
• All students in Grades 1-5 will attend.

Tuesday, August 25
• Preschool and Kindergarten students with last names M-Z will attend school.
• Preschool and Kindergarten students with last names A-L will remain home.
• All students in Grades 1-5 will attend.

Wednesday, August 26
• All students, PK-5 attend.

This staggered schedule allows our youngest cardinals to experience a calmer, more personalized transition into school while giving teachers additional time to build relationships and establish classroom routines.
